     Riviera Day School was established in August 1972 as an extended ministry of Riviera United Methodist Church . The preschool years are the foundation on which future learning depends. We strive to provide each individual child with an environment that encourages self-discovery and a commitment to learning. Children are encouraged to learn how to solve problems, release their creativity and build social skills. All in all, our curriculum lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

     Thanks to our strong educational curriculum, outstanding staff and commitment to early childhood learning and development, Riviera Day School stands out from other Saint Petersburg institutions. We offer a specialized preschool and voluntary pre-kindergarten program for children between the ages of two and five. We provide the highest quality care for and the education of children through a partnership with family, school, church, and community. We use age-appropriate curricula, equipment, and materials that reflect current educational practices. The loving atmosphere provided demonstrates Christian values, principles, and attitudes.

     We adhere to the highest standards of educational and child development. We are proud to be among the 10% of early childhood programs nationwide who have received our national accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). What's more, our dedicated staff has the experience and know-how to put these principles to work for each and every child. Riviera Day School carefully screens and interviews all teachers to ensure that they meet our high educational standards.
